Hollywood in Belgrade: Masterclass powered by TS Media on September 23rd at Belgrade Youth Center
TS Media, a brand of Telekom Srbija focused on the production of scripted content, brings Hollywood to Belgrade through the expertise of American music supervisor Thomas Golubić, who will deliver a lecture at the international music conference Runda Digital Days as part of the Masterclass powered by TS Media program.
Masterclass powered by TS Media is a series of exclusive educational events launched to further professionalization and education within Serbia’s film and television industry.
On this occasion, Aleksandra Martinović, Director of the Multimedia Division at Telekom Srbija, explained:
“Masterclass powered by TS Media is an ambitious project aimed at educating young talents and professionals through a series of exclusive lectures. The goal of this initiative is to share the knowledge and experiences of both local and globally renowned experts from various fields of filmmaking and creative arts with those striving for advancement and new insights. As a regional leader in scripted content production, we aim to inspire new generations and provide them with opportunities to grow in the ever-evolving world of cinema. As a socially responsible company, this initiative is our contribution to the education of both young creatives and established professionals, with whom we are jointly writing new chapters of Serbian cinema.”
Thomas Golubić, a four-time Emmy nominee, will make his first appearance in Belgrade on September 23rd at 3:30 PM at the Youth Center. During his lecture, titled "Music as a Narrative in Better Call Saul," Golubić will share insights from his work on globally acclaimed series such as Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Ray Donovan, and Six Feet Under. He will explore how music contributed to character development and narrative construction in the series.
Recognizing the importance of music in scripted formats, Telekom Srbija sees this lecture as a step forward in fostering collaboration between the film and music industries, aiming for a deeper understanding of music’s significant contribution to cinematic art and aligning the local industry with global standards. Golubić’s lecture offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the selection, application, and importance of music in creating film and series content, as well as to gain insight into the role of a music supervisor— a profession still underrepresented in Serbian cinema.
This is just the first in a series of lectures as part of the Masterclass powered by TS Media program, which will provide domestic professionals and students of audiovisual arts with a unique view into the complex processes of multimedia creation. Future lectures will feature local and international experts in directing, screenwriting, editing, and other fields within the film and television industries.
The Belgrade Youth Center will host the sixth edition of the international Runda Digital Days conference on September 23rd and 24th, which will also include the annual conference of the World Independent Network of Independent Labels (WINCON)—held for the first time in this part of Europe. The conference will feature representatives from global music giants like YouTube, Bandcamp, Merlin, Audio Salad, Sub Pop Records, Partisan Records, and numerous music professionals from Serbia and the region.
