New Success for Telekom Srbija in the European Market

Telekom Srbija Brings Together International Partners at the Series Mania Festival in Lille

Telekom Srbija, the largest producer in the Central and Eastern European region, continues to achieve successes that place Serbian cinema at the heart of the global artistic scene. At the Series Mania festival, held from March 19 to 21, 2024, in Lille, France, Telekom Srbija exclusively presented the first trailer for Scar, its largest international project to date, created in collaboration with world-renowned partners Asacha Media, RTVE (RTV Espana), and Amazon Prime Video. Telekom Srbija also made a notable presence at the prestigious festival through a panel that brought together leading global production and distribution companies such as Beta Film, GoQuest Media, Mediawan Rights, and Asacha Media Group, all partners of Telekom Srbija in content distribution worldwide. On the panel, representatives from these companies discussed their collaboration with Telekom Srbija and the success of Serbian series in the global market. It is well known that Telekom Srbija’s series are available to viewers around the world, which is one of the reasons why this Serbian company is rightfully ranked among the largest global players producing scripted content.

Additionally, the Scar project, which was produced jointly by Asacha Media, Amazon, and Telekom Srbija, and executive produced by the Serbian company Adrenalin, was publicly presented for the first time at this festival. During the panel, sponsored by the Spanish Film Center, and with the attendance of main actors Milena Radulović and Juanlu Gonzales, as well as members of the production and creative team, the audience had the opportunity to learn more about the series’ storyline and its significance for the countries producing it.

"Serbia, as a film destination, and Telekom Srbija, as a company, are leaders in the film production sphere in the Central and Eastern European market. Telekom Srbija has launched a new wave with a clear vision and plan, investing in content and reshaping the entire industry, in which Serbia now holds a prominent place. I am confident that Scar will be an opportunity for the whole world to see the numerous possibilities that arise when Telekom Srbija is your partner. For us, this collaboration proves what we can achieve when we unite forces with partners like RTV Espana and Amazon Prime," said Aleksandra Martinović, Director of the Multimedia Division at Telekom Srbija.

Telekom Srbija’s presence at this year’s festival in Lille is another significant achievement and confirmation of the high quality of its production, as well as a boost to continue the mission of internationalizing Serbian series and films. Telekom Srbija's projects are distributed across five continents, and the millions of satisfied viewers further motivate the company to invest in creating new content and popularizing Serbian cinema worldwide. Another major success achieved in France is the sale of rights for the project Constantine’s Crossing to the largest French distributor, Mediawan Rights, marking the first project from the Balkans to be included in their program.

"Collaboration with the largest French distributor, Mediawan, and the sale of rights on the global market is proof that Telekom Srbija’s production meets global standards, and that each sold project opens doors for further collaboration. We will continue on the path of constantly raising standards and professionalizing the entire production process," Martinović added.
