GamesCON 2024: Telekom Srbija Presents the Film "The Will of the Son"

GamesCON, one of the largest gaming and pop culture festivals in the region, was held from November 22 to 24, 2024, in Belgrade. Known for its rich program, the festival gathered fans of video games, comics, and movies, offering them an unforgettable experience through tournaments, workshops, and panels.

For the first time, Telekom Srbija joined GamesCON, enriching the festival further and highlighting the growing connection between the gaming and film industries. As part of the program, a panel dedicated to the film "The Will of the Son," produced by Telekom Srbija, was hosted by Aleksej Krpan. The panelists included Nemanja Ćeranić (director), Strahinja Madžarević (screenwriter), Igor Benčina (as Jovan), Isidora Simijonović (as Anđelija), and Marta Bjelica (as Marija). During this session, the audience had the opportunity to learn about the making of the film, explore behind-the-scenes details, and gain insights into the challenges of creating this unique project.

The film "The Will of the Son" is set in a post-apocalyptic world and, through the songs of a blind guslar (bard), tells the story of a small community of Grain people fighting for freedom under the leadership of the hero Jovan. The guslar, accompanied by a boy guide, arrives at a tavern where four bandits, captivated by his songs, demand to uncover the truth behind a story that seems like a legend.

This unique blend of epic storytelling and cinematic artistry perfectly complemented the GamesCON festival's atmosphere, emphasizing how the boundaries between gaming and film are increasingly blurred and the creative industries more interconnected. Through its presence and this project, Telekom Srbija demonstrated its commitment to innovation and the creation of content that bridges different entertainment worlds.
