Based on the autobiographical bestseller by popular actor Žarko Laušević, the series "The Fall" unfolds an intense and dramatic exploration of the life and career of actor Ivan Maslać over the course of eight episodes.
The story begins late at night in July 1993, when two brothers, Ivan and Stojan, arrive at their uncle's apartment, near the site in Podgorica where a confrontation with tragic consequences has just occurred.
The narrative continues in the investigative prison of Spuž, interweaving with the complex relationship between Ivan and his father Nikola, a serious and rational man with whom Ivan has had a complicated bond since childhood. These dual storylines grow richer and more intricate, revealing, on one hand, the seductive life of one of Yugoslavia's biggest acting stars and, on the other, the dark underbelly of the 1990s: a corrupt judiciary and the harsh realities of prison life.
