A story about love that transforms and about every person’s capacity for change—either for better or for worse, depending on what nourishes them. Ljubiša, a benevolent otherworldly being whose task is to unite people in marriage, has long been unsuccessful in his work. This time, he vows to bring together Bata, an unrecognized and frustrated film director, and Una Lazarević, the most famous TV host and a shallow megastar, creator of the trendy hit show A Walk with the Lion.
Clumsy Ljubiša creates circumstances meant to unite them, leading Una to interview Bata in his apartment. After a tense interview, conflict, and flaring passions, a gas explosion blows the apartment apart. The two of them survive, but Bata’s neighbor is killed. Inspector Trišić arrests Bata for involuntary manslaughter and the attempted murder of Una. Bata is convicted and ends up in prison, where he struggles to survive and gradually becomes a ruthless criminal…
