The plot of the series shows the work of Policy Inspector Aleksandar Jakovljević and his attempts to solve the murder of his father Mile while working on everyday cases of blood crimes. Police Inspectors Mirko Pavlović and Zoran are also working with Aleksandar on the investigations, while their work is supervised by Chief Predrag Marjanović. Forensic experts Sava and Jelena are helping Aleksandar, Mirko and Zoran in the investigations, and the court epilogue to the cases is brought by the prosecutor Marija Radenković. Important persone in Aleksandar's life is his mother Olja.
