The director of the Security Information Agency Bakrac receives an order straight from the top to form a team of Agency operatives with the task of ensuring the security of participants at the Assembly of Orthodox Churches, which is to be held in Nicosia, Cyprus in early 2022 and to contribute to reconciliation between the Russian and Ecumenical churches, hereby reducing the escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
The initiative to form the team came from the senior Advisor Uros Zdravkovic, which is why the director Bakrac suspects that the team is being formed solely to reveal any potential incident at the Assembly that would be traced back to the Agency he leads and him personally. Therefore, he distances the newly formed team from the Agency and gathers the operatives with problematic professional and personal backgrounds. This unusual and seemingly dysfunctional group of operatives soon discovers that in the Serbian delegation, which is preparing for trip to Cyprus, there is a mole, operating under code name Berdayev, whose intention is to sabotage the mission’s success at all costs. The team of Serbian operatives finally arrives in Nicosia, where, in parallel, church reconciliation and energy negotiations between Russia and America are being prepared. The stakes have never been higher. The success of the Assembly and energy negotiations mean peace and failure means war between Russia and Ukraine.
