Inspired by true events, the film The Home Resort is a dramedy about the Škrbić family, completely obsessed with summer holidays and the belief that a vacation must never be missed, no matter the cost. Through a series of social circumstances, they find themselves on an unusual summer adventure that reshapes their relationships and their perception of themselves. Driven by the idea of a “mandatory” vacation, the Škrbićs plunge into a chain of absurd and humorous situations which, instead of tearing them apart, become an opportunity to better understand one another and reconnect.
The Home Resort tells a story about family unity, how easily it can be lost in today’s fast-paced world, and how, through unexpected circumstances, it can be rediscovered.
