“Strange Loves” is a romantic comedy that follows the love and family entanglements of its main characters over three episodes.
The series features multiple storylines that gradually intertwine, connecting characters who initially do not know each other. One storyline follows Filip and Bojana, a recently divorced couple trying to organize their new lives while making life easier for their daughter, Tea. Both Filip and Bojana have new partners—and with them, new problems—while still remaining inseparably linked to each other.
Another storyline follows Siniša, an ordinary local guy, as he tries to win over Mina, a popular soap opera actress who is torn between her strong affection for Siniša and her relationship with Bogdan, a well-known Croatian actor.
In addition, the story follows Olga, Bojana’s mother, and her sister Natalia, exploring their decades-long competitive relationship. All of these complex relationships reach their resolutions during the holiday season, reflecting the idea that the new year, at least symbolically, offers a chance to correct mistakes and start anew.
