Tunnel is a social drama as much as a police thriller. It talks about human destinies. About the fragility of the human psyche and the importance of life. It examines whether life is really a gift, whether someone from above takes care of us, whether there is justice in this life and whether we create the system or it creates us. And it doesn't give simple answers.
The twelve episodes of the series will be eleven different cases solved by members of the special negotiation team of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia.
The team represents an operational, tactical unit of the Police Directorate, of a special purpose and of an occasional nature. The full composition of this special team consists of a leader, two negotiators, a documentarian, a psychologist and an expert in operational and technical support. But it is often necessary to improvise due to the speed of action.
We follow the lives and fates of the members of the special negotiation team of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, responsible for saving more than hundreds of human lives, with one hundred percent success, which is in constant danger of being shut down under the explanation that it costs a lot and may never be used.
